What to pack for the beach? Make a travel plan so you don't forget anything.
Trips16/12/2021Special shoes and sunscreen are essential for that beach trip that you and your family will enjoy to the fullest, and to ensure everything goes well, the first step is not to forget anything at home. We tell you everything you should pack.
What clothes to take to the beach is the first thing people usually think about; however, there are other factors to consider in your vacation plan; things you might not have taken into account, such as the ones we list below:
Tip: make a list of the family members going on the trip, and for each member, list what they need and check off each item as you pack it.
1. Important documents
Everything depends on your travel destination and whether you are going by car or plane. If you are traveling by car, don't forget to check the proper functioning of your car with a mechanic and have all documentation in order before hitting the road. If the trip is by air, your plane tickets are the first thing you should pack in your carry-on bag.
If your trip is international, remember that everyone needs a passport and visa (only in case of traveling to a beach in the United States). If you are visiting a Mexican beach, it is sufficient to carry identification.
2. Have your accommodation information at hand
The hotel address, reservation details and, in some cases, your payment method at hand are essential upon your arrival at the hotel. All-Inclusive family hotels usually have all your reservation information before you arrive, which makes your arrival and check-in to your room more agile.
At Solaris Hotels, we have a hospitality room for early arrivals or late departures from the resort. If you arrive a few hours earlier than expected or your flight is delayed, you and your family can stay at the hotel with the possibility of continuing to enjoy your All-Inclusive plan.
3. Shoes for water activities
Special shoes for walking on the beach or playing in and out of the pool, besides making your vacation more fun, will give you more safety and avoid accidents, as they are non-slip. Consider them in your luggage.
4. Sunglasses
Sunglasses are necessary when going to the beach and, believe it or not, they are one of the accessories most often forgotten at home. Avoid making an emergency purchase and throw them into your carry-on bag along with your important documents.
5. Sunscreen for body and hair
Remember that it is not only necessary to protect your skin from the sun, it is also necessary to take care of your hair, as it gets very damaged by the sun's rays. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a protective mask that you can easily apply before you start sunbathing.
6. Several changes of clothes
If you are traveling with children, you will know that one change per day is not enough, so you should consider up to three changes a day for them. For adults, two changes a day are enough, especially if you have several activities planned during the day, such as going for a quad bike ride or going out for dinner or dancing somewhere at night.
7. Insect repellent
Sunsets on the beach are spectacular, but without a doubt, they are enjoyed more without the presence of mosquitoes, especially when someone in the family is allergic to these insects and the bites are more painful and annoying. A good repellent in the afternoons and evenings will prevent discomfort during your vacation, so don't forget yours.
8. First aid kit with the essentials
It is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. The best thing that can happen is to bring to your trip a first aid kit with ointments, painkillers, antihistamines, and medical supplies that go unused, while the worst thing that could happen is needing it and not having it with you. Remember that it will always be better to reserve space in your suitcase for these materials.
Tip: staying at an All-Inclusive hotel gives you the security of having everything at hand. While there are oversights that cannot be easily solved, such as documents or part of your luggage, there are many other things you can solve at the hotel shop, such as sunscreen, repellent, and even a swimsuit.
