Although we are becoming a little more aware of this issue, we can still do much more to mitigate the damage we do to our environment, to our home.

Let's take as an example an event that comes up several times a year when we have children: birthdays.

Whether you prepare the party for your son or daughter, or if you have more than one, there will be many more.

But also when your child is the guest at a party to share with their little friends.

Here we will give you very practical tips to use one of the three great ecological R's in these cases:

REUSE

Although we all use practical materials for parties such as disposable plastic plates and cups, we can also turn them into reusable plates and cups.

How about, when the party is over, simply washing them and using them again for a future occasion?

Children's parties look very nice with balloons, but how about substituting them with paper-based decoration instead? The internet gives you a large number of options that you can make yourself. You can reuse this decoration later if you take care of it during this event.

At the end of the party, you can use the paper that the gifts come wrapped in so that you can use it again, and if it is already very damaged, it is better to cut it into thin strips so that you can use it as a base for gifting a bottle of wine to a friend or a fruit basket.

Besides the fact that it will look very nice, you are saving paper that you would otherwise buy.

And to wrap gifts, use paper that you have at home, for example, magazines, newspaper, or sheets that you can paint and color. In this way, you can wrap gifts in a very original and economical way.
