Solaris Hotels of Mexico, a 100% Mexican company

Grupo ROMERO, a 100% Mexican company, leader in the poultry and industrial market, based in the City of Puebla, decided to venture into the service sector in the hotel industry, through its subsidiary companies Villas Solaris and Villas Internacionales del Caribe, beginning these activities in 1988 and 1989 through the operators Ramada In and Aston.

In September 1990, Grupo ROMERO began operating its properties directly, establishing for this purpose the tourism operator HOTELES SOLARIS DE MÉXICO, which, supported by a group of brilliant hoteliers, developed and launched an innovative "ALL INCLUSIVE" concept with personalized service, consisting of two towers: Royal Tower and Caribe Tower.

Initially, the HOTEL ROYAL SOLARIS CARIBE was distinguished by operating the "ALL INCLUSIVE" concept in the Royal Tower and the traditional "EUROPEAN PLAN" in the Caribe Tower; however, given the success of the "ALL INCLUSIVE" concept, in May 1992, it was decided to operate both towers under the same system, being pioneers in this concept.

What we know today as the Royal Solaris Cancun Hotel began its operations in June 1988 under the name Ramada Renaissance. The GR Caribe hotel opened its doors in February 1990 as Aston Solaris. In July 2001, operations began for the Royal Solaris Los Cabos hotel, and on December 18, 2004, the GR Solaris Cancun hotel opened its doors for the first time.
