At Hoteles Solaris de México, we have someone very special we want you to meet. Whether you visit us in Cancun or Los Cabos, we know you will run into him somewhere in the hotel. We are talking about our beloved Pancho Solaris!

And if you have visited us, there is no doubt you already know him, but how well do you really know him? In this article, we will share some fun facts about the most adored member of Solaris.

Pancho Solaris is the official mascot of Hoteles Solaris de México. The idea arose as an icon—just like a logo—to represent us. After six months of studies and guest surveys, the results showed a preference for tropical birds. Thus, Pancho was created based on a pelican and an albatross, both seabirds.

The blue color of his plumage was chosen in reference to our destination, as this color is associated with the sea, the sky, freshness, and cleanliness—elements our guests associate with coming to vacation at the beach.

But Panchito, as he is also affectionately called, is not just an image or a symbol; his personality is what defines him. He is a friendly and joking character who represents the cordiality and dynamism of the service at Hoteles Solaris de México. He is super fun! And you can see for yourself if you ever run into him at your favorite Solaris hotel.

After his creation in 2005, every August we celebrate his anniversary at all Solaris hotels, and every year we have a themed party for him, so you won't want to miss it!
