Los Cabos Open of Surf 2017

Where the desert meets the ocean, where the lands end and the waves keep you in the deep... There, the Los Cabos Open of Surf begins!

The Los Cabos Open of Surf is the first professional surf and music event in Mexico, considered the most important in the country; it started in 2013 as a men's surfing competition, but since 2014, female surfers have also been able to demonstrate their skills on the waves.

The main venue for the event takes place at the world-famous Zippers surf spot, located in Costa Azul, San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. (Just 5 minutes away from our hotel)

In previous tournaments, in addition to being able to watch the professional surfers' competitions, the closing night of the event has been enjoyed with a musical show that has gotten the entire audience dancing until late at night, highlighting performances by groups such as the Venezuelans, Los Amigos Invisibles in 2014, with a fusion of disco, acid jazz, and funk mixed with Latin rhythms; the Mexican rock band Fobia closed the event in 2015 and, in its last edition, featured the participation of Kinky, a Mexican alternative rock group that, like the previous bands, created an incomparable atmosphere.

This year, the biggest surf event in Latin America begins on June 6th, for six days of competitions, musical shows, and lots of fun!

In addition, the renowned surfer Anastasia Ashley will be present as host as every year, Alana Blanchard will tell us how to #HowToDoLosCabos properly, and fighting for first place will be the one and only Tia Blanco, the Brazilian power with Silvana Lima, Johanne Deffay representing France, and much more talent.
