Holidays with the little ones

Traveling with children can be a wonderful experience if you (and they) are prepared in advance for this adventure. If you are located within the Mexican Republic and Latin America, it is likely that your trip will involve a flight to come to any of our destinations, Cancun or Los Cabos.

Today we want to present a list of several recommendations when traveling with your children:

BEFORE TRAVELING:

One of the best practices (if they are old enough) is to let the children know about the trip you will soon be taking as a family and that you will be flying to visit a great destination in Mexico. Show them a map locating the city, for example, and photos of the beach, the hotel, and attractions in the area, especially for them.

BEFORE THE FLIGHT:

It is recommended that you provide them with a backpack (a school backpack can work very well if they have one), as they feel more independent and it will lighten your load during the trip. Invite them to include some of their favorite toys in it, as well as markers or colored pencils, sheets of paper or coloring books, candies, cookies, or other treats, perhaps a new toy to give them a surprise during the trip, and a sweater (since it can sometimes be cold on airplanes).

ON THE FLIGHT:

Let them sit by the window and tell them stories about the clouds, the sky, the earth; describe it all as an adventure. During takeoff and landing, offer them a candy so their ears don't get blocked. It is sad to see and hear a child having a hard time because of the pain of blocked ears.

It is also a very good option to carry any electronic device where you can play a television show or a movie so that they are relaxed during the trip.

DURING YOUR STAY:

Choose a place that has a recreational and entertainment area for children. We recommend you visit our Mini Club at any of our hotels, Royal Solaris Cancun, GR Solaris Cancun, and Royal Solaris Los Cabos; our little guests will surely have a great time.

Make sure that the place where your little ones will be also has children their age, so they can share their experience with more children. At Solaris Hotels, you will surely have everything you are looking for to have a dream vacation.

Safety is a very important aspect; we must inform ourselves in advance about the safety measures of the place, for example, if the pool is fenced, if it closes at night, if it has a special area for children, if it has stairs, everything to avoid risks. Once at the place, we must keep in mind at all times the precautions when going to the pool with small children.

We also recommend that you brighten up your little ones with surprises that we have for them, at an additional cost, which you can purchase before they arrive at the hotel or once you are staying at any of our properties.
