5. Friday, September 16, for the anniversary of Mexico's Independence.

6. Monday, November 21, for the commemoration of November 20, the Anniversary of the Mexican Revolution.

7. Sunday, December 25, for Christmas.

Tip: To be able to vacation during high-demand dates, such as holidays and official school vacations, the recommended time to plan the trip is 4 to 5 months in advance.

What are the official rest days for schools?

While there are few official rest days for workers, there are more non-working days for primary and secondary school students. If you are looking to plan your family beach vacation, also consider these dates that the SEP (Secretariat of Public Education) marks as official:

1. Thursday, January 6, for Three Kings' Day.

2. Every last Friday of each month, for the Technical School Council meeting.

3. From April 11 to 22, for the 2022 Easter holidays.
