When you are in the Riviera Maya, there are many ways to enjoy what it has to offer. One of the most incredible experiences that brings you closer to nature, full of adventure and even history, is visiting a cenote.

From the entrance, the atmosphere changes; you are transported to a place where Mayan stories come to life, amidst locations that dazzle you with the beauty of their crystal-clear waters.

There are many types of cenotes; you can find places that are like a hidden treasure near towns or in the middle of the jungle, full of vegetation and wildlife, while others are adapted to provide a comfortable experience.

In them, you can simply swim, or for diving enthusiasts, some can reach up to 100 meters in depth or even more.

Near Cancun, we recommend four cenotes that are worth visiting:

Crystal Cenote

This is an open-air type of cenote, which has a peculiar legend about the color of its waters. It is equipped with facilities for visitors.

Dos Ojos Cenote

This is a semi-open type of cenote; the name Dos Ojos (Two Eyes) refers to the fact that it has two caves filled with blue water.

Chac Mool Cenotes

These are semi-open cenotes, a natural beauty popular for diving, with a connection between both cenotes.

Boca del Puma Cenote

This is a closed type of cenote that projects a mystical atmosphere, perfect for swimming and enjoying other activities that the place offers.

Don't miss the opportunity to visit Cancun and live this unique experience.
