Atypical sighting of the Black-headed Trogon in Quintana Roo Cancun

This bird, native to the Yucatán Peninsula, is characterized by having a ring around its eye, as well as a yellow belly and a black head.

One explanation for this behavior is the prolonged drought occurring in the region, which forces the species to move in search of water.
