Entry requirements and procedures

During your trip, you will receive a customs format and other for your visa; you will be able to fill the information before landing at the airport. When you arrive, you’ll pass by immigration and present your visa format and passport. Another valid proof of citizenship can be your birth certificate, id, naturalization papers or a citizen affidavit. You will need a copy of your visa in your returning flight. Parents that are traveling alone with children, shall present a notarized letter with the other parent authorization to go out, and return to the country. There are no exceptions for this requirement.

Weather

It has a desert environment, semi tropical, Los Cabos has ideal weather, clear skies and sunny days. Average temperature is between 19° and 26.7°C (50° – 80°F) from November to April, and 21°C to 35°C (70° – 95°F) from May to October. Most of the rain comes in September. Coldest months are December and January. Water temperature, even in winter, is hardly below 21°C (70°F), having an average temperature of 23.8°C. ( 75°F).

Currency

The official currency is Mexican Peso. The price is published in the Royal Solaris lobby. American dollars are received in several places, although in some stores the currency change will be less than the atm or change cabins. ATMs are located easily and both places have American Express offices. Banks are open on business days from 8:30am to 5:00pm, some close later and open on saturdays. Banks are closed on sundays and festivities.

Consulate

Consulate office is generally open from Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 1:00om or 2:00pm. Canadian consulate is in San Jose del Cabo, dial: (624) 142-4333. USA Consulate is in Cabo San Lucas, dial:(624) 143-3566

Language

Spanish is the official language in Mexico, however many people speak english in Los Cabos. Getting to know several words like: Por favor and gracias, will make people smile for sure.

Security

Many travelers are worried for their security in Mexico. However, Los Cabos has a low index of crimes and is very secure compared with some areas in the United States and Canadá. Use your common sense and keep your object in a safe place. Keep your locks down in a rental car, all time.

Medical Services and Emergencies

Royal Solaris Los Cabos has medical services within its facilities. The office is on service everyday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. In case of an accident or any medical or dental emergency, call the Guest Service department for immediate help. Medical cost are not included in the All Inclusive program.

Time Zone

Los Cabos and Baja California Sur have a mountain time zone. This place changes its time depending on the winter or summer.

Water

Solaris Hotels, as well as several hotels and restaurants from Los Cabos use purified water. However if you have any questions, you can also ask for bottled water.
